House update

Well... they've finally started work cleaning up the house after our (luckily confined to the stove) bean cooking fire.
Lessons learned (if you have to move out of your house and are waiting for the insurance company):
- It will take 4 times longer than anyone tells you.
- Rent a house, don't stay in a hotel. It's cheaper after a few weeks.
- You're the only one who cares how long it takes. Call everyone you're waiting on everyday. The insurance adjuster will take an extended Easter Vacation without telling you.
- Don't try to clean anything yourself! You'll only make it worse and you'll get a nasty allergic reaction to the bean smoke particles.
- Some things are cheaper to replace than to clean.
- Dogs are way less fun to have if you live downtown and don't have a yard.
Ok, that's all for now. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm sure there will be more lessons learned once the cleaning is finished.
